IDOL

Memories of my childhood were the starting point for this piece. It is a cosy nest, where the user can store things and create their own space. In the middle is a place for sitting, but still big enough to sleeping in. Idol is not just an item of furniture, it is a personal territory.





IDOL is constructed with approx. 40m of 12mm metal rod and 35m of 8mm diameter wire. During the fi rst step all the separate frames are prepared. Then comes welding, grating, cleaning and finally powder coating. The whole weight of the construction is approximately 55 kg, it is approx. 2m high, 1,4m wide and 0,95m deep and can be completed in less than 3 weeks.
